I spent the last week in Keystone, CO for the annual women’s superpark event. Going into it I didn’t know what to expect. Given the name ‘superpark’ you just prepare yourself for the biggest setup imaginable, and on top of that you can never trust the weather to play out right. Getting up to the mountain on the first day the weather could not have been any better. With a storm moving through the night before, it was about 40 degrees, packed powder, and completely blue skies! I could not have been more excited to snowboard.
We got up to the park to find that Keystone couldn’t have done a more perfect job on the setup. Rails, jumps, and gaps everywhere you looked. I had never been to a superpark prior, but I had heard they would only have a few huge features here and there. This was a legitimate park, with features top to bottom, and built perfect! Day 1 went off, and all the girls had a blast on everything. Everyone was super comfortable with the park and having a great time.
For Day 2 and 3 the storm rolled back in, and the days were filled with snowy weather. The girls still kept motivation high, and we had both days dedicated to the rails.
Day 4 turned into a ‘send it’ event. With the weather back to perfection girls were riding to their highest potential. I can honestly say I have never seen so many girls trying so many tricks and progressing to their fullest. I haven’t had a better park day this season, and was so happy to get to see a lot of friends I don’t get to spend much time with.
Below are the links to the videos/ photos from the past week. I have a couple shots in them, Check em out!
